Matthew's great behavior!

I wanted to post some updates of Matthew on here, since it seems his sister is getting the lime light now that she has started school.
I have been really proud of him ! Every morning he hugs his sister goodbye, (and cries if she forgets) and every afternoon he asks about her day. He is such a talker, when it's just us in the car, and I'm trying to listen to the radio, he says, "talk to me mom!"
When we go into the volunteer room, he is so good for me, every parent that comes in, and quite a few teachers, has said what a great kid he is, how well behaved, and how he is a dream child.
Now I know the truth, however, I am so thankfull that at least there he is on his best behavior!
Way to go matthew!

Kaitlyn is reading!

I am a very excited mother right now. My first child has learned how to read! Her school teaches the spalding method, which is like phonics, except more complex. She has only been in school for a month and a half, and she is reading begginers stage 2 books! Her whole class will be reading by January, however they said some start by October. Katie is one of them! She is so excited, she's trying to read everything in sight. It's so cute watching her try to read big words. She is sticking to the smaller books for now though. lol

Busy Days!

Hello everybody! Sorry we have not been updating you on much lately. Now that I take Katie to school and back everyday, and sometimes pick my husband up from work, my life has gotten crazy! No time it seems like for leisure anymore.I also have been trying to volunteer at her school when I can, since I am allowed to bring Matthew. So that on top of the normal chores, errands, and homework, I am so tired at night i am falling in bed by 9:00p.m. Hopefully Saturdays will be a good day to do stuff like this. Thanks for coming, and we hope you like the changes.

Our New Bunny!

well I was suckered again! Matthew and I went to get an oil change yesterday. While we were waiting, we went next door to a pet store that we always visit. They were getting rid of their store rabbit that they had for a year and a half. Well they were selling him,(he's already fixed)and his cage, water bottle, bowls, toy, and food for $30.00! I thought I would surprise my family! lol Boy was Katie excited. My husband however, was not. He agreed we could keep him as long as I didn't ask him for help in taking care of him. I figured I take care of the other animals so whats one more right?
He is worth it though, he's such a sweet rabbit. He loves to be pet. He wasn't held much, so we are getting him used to that. He will get scared and hide under your arm. The cats don't know what to think. He isn't to sure of them, but so far they are friendly to each other. I am surprised my cats aren't trying to attack him. Maybe it's because he is bigger than them. In weight anyways.
They had called him Bun Bun, however we may be calling him T.Rex. He is a mini Rex, so i was gonna call him Rex, however, Katie likes Thomas, and Matthew, when I said Rex, said, like T.Rex the dinosaur? So I thought T.Rex, short for Thomas Rex.
Anyways, no we are not a farm yet! only a dog, a rabbit, and three cats does not qualify us for farm status. As long as we don't have any chickens or cows, we'll be alright. lol

My husband and I chaperoned 7 teenagers from our church Friday night to the teen rally! What an awesome time. It was so encouraging to see so many teenagers get saved! Plus there were so many already serving God, and doing something for him! Even the special music and the dramas were done by the teens. It is quite convicting to see a teenager doing so much for God. It definitely stirs you to step it up.
There was one band with 4 guys, and they were under 20, yet they wrote their own songs, played instruments, sang, and gave their testimonies! How exciting. God is definitely doing something in our youth!

Camping Trip

Sunday we went on a 3 day camping trip!
Unfortunately our camera broke, so i did not have any pictures to post. However i found some off the web, and they are pictures of the campground we stayed at. The Internet is amazing, isn't it?
We had a great time, even though we decided to come home one day early. It was just too hot.
It was nice however, cooling ourselves off in the creek. We found a few water holes that were pretty deep, some surrounded by little waterfalls! Our dog chase loved to fetch any stick he could find. He would get a big stick and bring it to us to throw into the water, so he could have an excuse to go swimming! He brought it back every time, even if he had to go underwater to look for it. He's definitely a lab!
We took walks, played cards, relaxed, and hung out by the Creek for two days.
Next time we will bring fishing gear so they can go fishing.
Even though fishing was not in the game plan, Katie talked her Dad into catching her a crawdad to take home. So we have this nasty critter in a Tupperware container in the house, awaiting its death, since it has absolutely no food!
I tried to explain to her that it would die very fast, and that we might be taking it away from its family, however, she wouldn't hear of it.
Well if i had my way we would of put it back in the creek, however you know how daddy's are with there little girls.
Overall it was nice to get away, though next time we go it will not be in July!

A new way to introduce solid food to kittens!

It was sometime around midnight, and I am preparing for bed, when I hear this loud crash in the laundry(cats)room. I run in there to see the(new) automatic cat feeder tipped over, inside the box, with the kittens. Normally it sits on top of my washing machine a foot and a half away. Everything that was inside it, (a whole bag of cat food) was dumped all over the kittens. Thank God they were not hurt. The mom's didn't seem bothered, just happy to be getting food. I guess the automatic feeder was stuck, so they tried to get the food out the hard way. The kittens at only three, and three and a half weeks old, however, were not the least bit interested in starting solids yet!

Katie got her ear's pierced!

Friday night Katie and I had girls night out, and she finally agreed to get her ears pierced! I was so excited. She had them done at 5 months old, however they fell out and closed up. She picked the pink flowers. She did great! She said "ouch" and thats it. We then went to Castle's and Coaster's and played put put, video games, and rode rides! We didn't get home untill after 11:00 p.m.. We had so much fun. Next time we are going to get our nails done!

After two hard days for leah, she finally had three healthy babies

Three days after her sister, Leah had three beautiful kittens. They together have six, and I think they forgotten who's are who's by now, since they share their motherly duties. It is really neat to be able to watch the love they have for each other and their babies.

RACHEL HAD HER BABIES!

We are so excited to say Rachel had her kittens today! Exactly on the day we thought to! She had three beautifull babies. One is grey, one is calico, and one looks like her but a little more orange. The one that looks like her is the biggest, so It might be a boy. My husband predicted she would have them under Katie's bed, and he was right! Leah should be due in two days. Will post pictures of her babies when they come.

Matthew was caught trying to put daddy's guitar on. He knows he's not allowed to touch daddy's guitar, so he was caught red handed!

Our new house!

We waited for over two years, and now God has blessed us with our new home!
